QA Inspector
Classification: Non-Exempt Report To: Quality Manager

Summary/Objective
The Quality Inspector is responsible for verifying that machined, fabricated, and repaired parts meet engineering, customer, and ISO/AS9100 quality requirements. This role supports Anthony Machine’s objectives of delivering precision‑machined products while maintaining a disciplined, compliant Quality Management System.
Essential Functions
- Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections
- Inspect parts to engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, etc.)
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records
- Identify and report nonconforming product per company procedures
- Verify inspection equipment is within calibration status
- Support audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities
Physical Demands
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, push, pull, sit and stand for 8 or more hours a day.
- Must display excellent time management skills, be able to work with little or no supervision and communicate regularly.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus frequently.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:30a.m. – 4:00p.m Overtime, including Saturday/Sunday may be required during peak business periods and to meet rush requirements.
Work Environment
Manufacturing and machine shop environment; standing, lifting, and use of PPE required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints and GD&T
- Experience in an ISO 9001 / AS9100 environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
